Well, don't be confused. Islamist militants were previously known as "freedom fighters" and "moderate rebels". Article, right in it's begining, names opne of them:

Well, damn, we all were lectured for years that in Ghouta there are moderate rebels who are all about freedom and democracy, weren't we? Even Aloush himself was known as kind guy who loves Hello Kitty:
But seriously, I went quite deeper and searched for this guy and his group. How they were sell to us prior this 2016 article? In 2013 we learned this:

Jihadist militant group, as described by Huffingtonpost in 2016, after obvious defeat of terrorist groups, formerly described as "moderate rebels" by the globalists and corporate media, held talks with US officials, among others. Don't forget, just year ago Alloush was Saudi supported commander and held talks regarding support with the US officials as well:

One year later we were told that Assad's regime is that evel that it deliberately released ISLAMIST EXTREMISTS as Alloush back in 2011 and no one even questions tha fact that the same guy held talks with US officials 2 years later.
Even shortly after Alloush was killed, in 2015, the corporate media reffered to him as "rebel commander":

Their agenda is to picture their targed as bad as possible. Is alloush fighting Assad? He's rebel fighting against dictator. Was he released from jail? He's evil islamist released by dictator.
